AI parse limits and how they're counted

Each plan includes a monthly AI parse allowance. A "parse" is one email being analyzed by the AI.

Plan allowances

  • Starter: No AI processing
  • Pro: 200 parses per month
  • Business: 1,500 parses per month

How it's counted

  • One email = one parse, regardless of length
  • Counted whether you approve, reject, or ignore the suggestion
  • Counter resets on the 1st of each calendar month
  • Replies and forwards each count separately

What doesn't count

  • Emails the AI skips because they're clearly not project-related (e.g., calendar invites, automated newsletters, OAuth verification mails) — these are filtered before reaching the AI
  • Emails received before you connected Gmail
  • Manual project updates you make yourself

Hitting the limit

When you reach your monthly limit, AI processing pauses until the next month starts. You can:

  • Wait for the next monthly reset
  • Upgrade to a higher plan (limits reset immediately on upgrade)
  • Continue using LyncView normally — only the AI feature pauses, everything else keeps working

Overage

Business plan supports overage at $0.05 per additional parse beyond the included 1,500. Overage must be enabled in Settings → AI Email Processing; it's off by default to prevent surprise bills.
