Upgrading, downgrading, and trials

Free trial

Pro plan includes a 7-day free trial. No credit card required to start. At the end of the trial:

• If you added a payment method during the trial, you're billed and continue on Pro.
• If not, your account moves to Starter (free, with Starter limits).
• No automatic downgrade or surprise charges.

Upgrading

Upgrades take effect immediately. You're charged a prorated amount for the remainder of the current billing period. New plan features (AI, white-label, API, etc.) become available right away.

Downgrading

Downgrades take effect at the end of the current billing period. You keep your current plan until then. After downgrade:

• If you have more active projects than the new plan allows, the oldest projects move to read-only until you archive them.
• AI processing stops if downgrading from Pro/Business to Starter.
• White-label settings are preserved but no longer applied (your client portal reverts to default branding).
• API keys remain in the database but new requests return 403 until upgraded again.

Switching between Pro and Business

• Pro → Business: instant upgrade, prorated charge, Business features active immediately.
• Business → Pro: takes effect at end of period. AI parse limit drops to 200/mo. Webhooks and API stop accepting new requests.

What gets preserved

All your data — projects, templates, clients, files, time entries, leads — is preserved across plan changes and even after cancellation. We don't delete data; we just gate access to features above your current tier.

Reactivating after cancellation

If you cancel and want to come back, just sign in and resubscribe. Your data is exactly where you left it.
