Connecting your Gmail account

AI email processing requires connecting Gmail. The connection is read-only — we never send email on your behalf and never modify your inbox.

To connect

1. Go to Settings → AI Email Processing.
2. Click Connect Gmail.
3. You'll be redirected to Google's OAuth screen. Approve the read-only scope.
4. You're back in LyncView. Connection status shows green.

What we read

• The subject, sender, and plain-text body of recent emails
• Only emails received in the last 7 days at any given moment
• We do not read attachments
• We do not store full email bodies — only what's needed to match to a project

What we don't do

• Send email on your behalf
• Delete or archive email
• Train AI models on your email content (Anthropic's API doesn't train on submitted data by default)
• Read emails from before you connected

Disconnecting

You can disconnect anytime from Settings → AI Email Processing → Disconnect. We immediately stop polling. You can also revoke access from your Google Account at myaccount.google.com/permissions.

Multi-user notes

Each user connects their own Gmail. Workers can connect their own inbox to AI-process emails on projects they have access to. The AI never sees emails from inboxes that aren't connected to LyncView.
